AIG Units Expand Web Services

American General Life Insurance Company and the U.S. Life Insurance Company in the City of New York are offering more electronic services to the independent advisors and agencies affiliated with their independent agency group.

The companies, units of American International Group Inc., New York, say their new updated independent agency site now provides a free electronic business submission tool.

The site update also has added a direct link to the new business department for agents who are looking at policies that need attention; a tool for automatically notifying agents about changes in the case status of pending applications; a direct link to licensing and compensation; and a service that can help agents set up and improve their own Web sites.
