Teradata and DFA Capital Management Inc. have agreed to join to sell risk management solutions to insurers and annuity manufacturers.

The alliance will combine database systems from Teradata, a unit of NCR Corp., Dayton, Ohio, with the economic and market simulator system developed by DFA, Purchase, N.Y., the companies say.

The DFA system can produce forecasts that incorporate elements such as the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, International Financial Reporting Standards, and local statutory accounting rules, the companies say.
