Center Commissions LTC Study

The National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry has awarded a contract to study long term care financing and planning.

RTI International won the NIC contract, which authorizes a broad review and analysis of research on issues affecting the financing of long term care. NIC, Annapolis, Md., says it will offer the findings as guidance to national and state policymakers as well as those in the healthcare, long term care and housing sectors who provide services to older adults or who finance such services.

The research will be headed by Joshua M. Wiener, senior fellow and program director for Aging, Disability and Long-Term Care at RTI International, Research Triangle Park, N.C. RTI is scheduled to complete its analysis by September for presentation at the 17th Annual NIC Conference, to be held Oct. 3-5 in Washington.
