The International Reading Association has presented a 2007 IRA Children’s Book Award to Frank Keating.

Keating, the president of the American Council of Life Insurers, Washington, and a former governor of Oklahoma, won the IRA award for primary-reading-level nonfiction for his second children’s book, “Theodore,” a biography of Theodore Roosevelt.

The IRA presents the Children’s Book Awards to authors of first and second fiction and nonfiction books at the primary, intermediate and young adult reading levels.
