Insurers have come out with one booklet to help business owners and another aimed at consumers who are thinking about post-retirement health care costs.

A unit of Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, has developed the “Business Owner’s Playbook.”

The book covers topics such as business structure, finance, compensation, benefits, insurance, retirement and estate planning, and it also talks about when owners should get advice from lawyers, accountants, insurance agents and financial professionals, Hartford says.

Hartford is organizing a series of informational seminars in cities around the United States to promote the playbook and reach out to business owners.

A copy of the book is available on the Web ‘>Document Link.

Another organization, the MetLife Mature Market Institute, Westport, Conn., a unit of MetLife Inc., New York, has published “Retirement Planning: Healthcare Considerations,” a free booklet that covers topics such as COBRA health coverage continuation benefits, health savings accounts, and options for retirees in their 50 and early 60s who need individual health insurance.

At press time, the booklet was not on the Web, but the institute says it will be posting a copy
