The American Clinical Laboratory Association is trying to win more respect for the facilities that help determine what health problems consumers actually have.

The ACLA, Washington, will launch its 2007 Results for Life campaign Wednesday with a gathering in the U.S. Capitol Building.

The list of speakers scheduled to attend the event includes Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, and former Sen. Bob Dole, who is now a lobbyist.
