Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has started offering Granite State consumers a health insurance policy designed to appeal to adults ages 19 to 34.
Anthem Blue's parent, WellPoint Inc., Indianapolis, began selling the Tonik policy to "young invincibles" in other states in 2003.
The policy, which is available to all consumers under age 65 but comes with features believed to be of interest to younger consumers, comes with a high lifetime coverage unit, a high deductible for most health care expenses, and a package of routine care benefits that comes with low out-of-pocket costs.
The product is medically underwritten.
