Curian Capital L.L.C. says it is trying to make it easier for financial professionals to set up fee-based separately managed accounts.

Curian, Denver, a unit of Jackson National Life Insurance Company, Lansing, Mich., has introduced a Web-based Curian Simplified Proposal Process system.

The Curian SPP system includes tools for generating customized SMA proposals, speeding up client suitability reviews, and creating customized sales presentations in about 2 minutes.

The system also adds 8 new social screens, to help socially conscious investors exclude stocks or other securities from companies that they would like to avoid.

Another feature gives financial professionals the ability to print applications, to open an account during a traditional, face-to-face meeting, Curian says.
