ETF Assets Up $13.4 Billion

According to the Investment Company Institute (ICI), the combined assets of U.S. ETFs grew $13.43 billion to $396.73 billion in November.

This represented a 3.5 percent jump compared to October and an increase of 37.3 percent (or $107.78 billion) compared to November 2005, when ETF assets were $288.95 billion. During November, the value of all new ETF shares issued exceeded that of shares redeemed by $3.06 billion. In the first 11 months of 2006, ETFs experienced a net issuance of $56.98 billion.
