Large managed care companies are offering new international services.

The expatriate benefits unit at CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, is adding a global benefits program for retirees and retirees’ dependents.

The expat retiree benefits program will include health insurance, dental benefits and vision benefits for retirees affiliated with employers that offer CIGNA expat benefit plans for active employees.

Another company, Aetna Inc., Hartford, says its global benefits unit will expand operations outside the United States to serve the expat market in Europe.

Aetna has named Debra Williams to run the new European operation and says it will support the expansion by hiring more workers for an existing service center in Castleisland, Ireland.
