Snoopy Re-Ups With MetLife

Metropolitan Life Insurance Company has agreed to continue its licensing agreement for the Charles Schulz Peanuts characters and for the first time to extend their use into markets worldwide..

This new agreement with United Media Inc. gives MetLife, New York, exclusive rights to use Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the other Peanuts characters to sell financial services. United Media is a subsidiary of E.W. Scripps Company, Cincinnati.

MetLife has used the comic-strip characters in its marketing programs since 1985.
