A life insurer has chosen a firm to help with retirement plan fund selection and asset allocation.
Symetra Life Insurance Company, Bellevue, Wash., says it has agreed to market the investment selection and monitoring services of Mesirow Financial Holdings Inc., Chicago, to sponsors of small 401(k) plans.
Mesirow also will provide co-fiduciary services at no additional cost for 401(k) plans that use the funds that Mesirow recommends, Symetra says.
The addition of Mesirow will give Symetra 401(k) plan clients access to a total of 80 mutual funds, Symetra says.
