Old Mutual Financial Network, Atlanta, has announced that its flagship insurance company, Fidelity and Guaranty Life Insurance Company, has been renamed OM Financial Life Insurance Company.

Similarly, Fidelity and Guaranty Life Insurance Company of New York has been renamed OM Financial Life Insurance Company of New York.

According to Bruce Parker, OMFN’s chief executive officer, the name changes will reinforce the Old Mutual brand across all of Old Mutual’s U.S. life insurance and annuity operations. This initiative also is intended to build brand consistency with Old Mutual’s other U.S.-based financial businesses, Old Mutual Asset Management and Old Mutual Capital.

“Master General Agents and other intermediaries have voiced their support for the additional clarity and unity that uniform names will bring to our marketing efforts,” Mr. Parker added.
