Life insurance is well worth the price, according to Christians participating in a recent online survey.

The survey by ChristiaNet.com, Spring, Texas, found 46% of a sample of 293 site visitors thought life insurance is worth the cost because it helps cover funeral expenses and provide for loved ones.

27% of participants said life insurance is not worth the cost and preferred alternatives such as saving accounts or prepaid funeral costs. In the words of one, life insurance policies "make agents live like lords and the participants struggle to pay the premiums all their lives."

Others said Jesus would take care of loved ones when the time came to head for Heaven.

The remaining 27% of respondents were unsure of the answer to the question.
