CIGNA HealthCare has acquired VieLife P.L.C.
CIGNA HealthCare, Bloomfield, Conn., is a unit of CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, a company with a large international insurance operation.
VieLife, London, sells Web-based health management and coaching programs that now serve 1.3 million consumers in the United States, Europe, Canada and Australia, CIGNA says.
CIGNA is not saying how much it is paying for VieLife, but it says VieLife will continue to sell its services under the VieLife brand in some markets.
