American Equity Investment Life Holding Company will give top independent producers a chance to get a stake in the company.
American Equity, West Des Moines, Iowa, says it is setting up a 2007 agent incentive program that will include a stock option plan.
Agents who participate can get grants of options to acquire shares of American Equity common stock based on their 2007 sales, American Equity says.
The first grants will be made in early 2007, the company says.
American Equity also will be granting options to national marketing organizations, and it will be providing extra marketing support payments for producers who meet designation goals, the company says.
