Bankers Conseco To Sell Through Empire State Agents

A unit of Conseco Inc. says it is opening at least 9 sales offices in New York state.

Bankers Conseco Life Insurance Company, Chicago, is starting by selling life and health insurance products to New York residents through career agents in new offices in Albany, Jamestown and Syracuse.

The unit plans to open at least 6 additional branch offices and satellite offices in New York in 2007, according to Conseco.

Products available from Bankers Conseco in New York include long term care insurance, Medicare supplement insurance, Medicare Advantage private-fee- for-service coverage, Medicare prescription drug plans and whole life insurance, Conseco says.
