Bush Signs Service Personnel Protection Act

President George W. Bush signed a new act Friday aimed at protecting military service members from unscrupulous sales of financial products on military bases.

The new Military Personnel Financial Services Protection Act, S. 418, also gives state insurance departments jurisdiction over insurance sales on military bases in their states.
