Philip Harriman has succeeded Stephen Rothschild as president of the Million Dollar Roundtable executive committee for 2006-2007.

MDRT, Park Ridge, Ill., is a group for top life insurance agents.

Harriman, who has been a MDRT member for 24 years, hopes to use his term as president to increase public awareness of the need for baby boomers to prepare for retirement, MDRT says.

Harriman, a Yarmouth, Maine, resident, holds the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant professional designations. He served in the Maine Senate from 1992 to 2000. He now is chairman of the Northeast Region Life Underwriters Political Involvement Committee at the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting, Falls Church, Va.

Other members of the MDRT executive committee will include Stephen Rothschild, the group’s immediate past president; James Rogers, first vice president; Walton Rogers, second vice president; and Guy Baker, secretary.
