Personnel Changes: Aon, Old Mutual, Others

Aon Consulting has named a new sales director for its southeast region.

The firm, the human resources consulting unit of Aon Corp., Chicago, appointed Ed Greenbaum, a vice president, to the post.

Greenbaum, who joined Aon in 1999, will be responsible for new business development and for managing sales in the company’s Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida markets. He is based in Aon Consulting’s Baltimore office.

In other personnel news:

Old Mutual Financial Network, Atlanta, named Barry Ward as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He was previously vice president and head of U.S. financial reporting for ING Insurance Americas, Atlanta. Before that, he was assistant director of the Office of Financial Regulation Services of the Ohio Department of Insurance.

The company is a unit of Old Mutual P.L.C., London.

Mutual of Omaha announced it has named Scott Ault senior vice president of its group insurance products.

Ault, who joined Mutual of Omaha in April 2004, had been vice president of group insurance sales.

The National Association of Health Underwriters, Arlington, Va., has appointed Peter Stein as vice president of congressional affairs

He previously had been director of federal affairs of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America. He has also been a senior policy advisor to U.S. Senator Rick Santorum (R-Pa.).

The Todd Organization, Greensboro, N.C., named Ward Russell as president.

Russell first joined the executive benefits consulting firm in 1989. He replaces R. David Sprinkle, who will remain as the firm’s chief executive officer.

The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. hired Jeannie Iannello as vice president and director of individual life services and named Lyndon Oliver senior vice president and director of strategy, development and operations for international wealth management.

Iannello will be responsible for service to consumers, registered representatives, independent life agents and banks, including new business, policyholder service, and commissions and appointments. Located in Minneapolis, she will report to Michael Kalen, executive vice president and director of The Hartford’s individual life division.

She was previously senior vice president and chief operating officer at Chase Insurance.

Lyndon Oliver will oversee business technology, service operations and business development for The Hartford’s international enterprises. He will also serve as liaison with PLANCO, Wayne, Pa., the company’s wholesaling operation for investment products.

Previously, Oliver was director of product management for the company’s international division.

Nationwide Financial Services Inc., Columbus, announced Duane C. Meek, senior vice president for retirement plans, will retire at year-end. He has been with Nationwide for 38 years.

The company named Bill Jackson, currently vice president for internal sales and service, to replace Meek, beginning Oct. 1.
