National Life Insurance Co. introduced a new generation whole life insurance products called NL LifeBuilder. It combines the flexibility of universal life contracts with the guarantees of traditional whole life.

“With NL LifeBuilder, consumers will be able to design and then modify, if necessary, an insurance program to fit their changing lifestyles,” says Matt DeSantos, vice president of marketing for National Life Insurance Co.

DeSantos says that unlike traditional whole life insurance contracts, LifeBuilder allows policyholders to adjust their premiums, accelerate their cash value accumulation and react to changes in their personal circumstances without having to make dramatic changes in their life insurance program.

Built on a traditional whole life chassis, LifeBuilder is a dividend-paying contract that offers a wide range of riders and customization options, including ones that allow policyholders to access their death benefit to meet potential long term care costs.
