About the Managers

There are three managers of the Allianz NFJ Dividend Value Fund:

Ben Fischer, CFA, is a founding partner, managing director, and portfolio manager of NFJ Investment Group in Dallas. He has held senior posts at NationsBank, including CIO, institutional and fixed income, and earlier in his career was a securities analyst at Chase Manhattan Bank and Clark Dodge. Fischer holds an economics BA and a JD from the University of Oklahoma, and an MBA from New York University. He swims and skis to relax but says investments are not only his profession, they are his hobby and avocation: “When you do something you love, it’s really not work.”

Clifton Hoover, CFA, is a portfolio manager and principal at NFJ. He was previously a VP at Credit Lyonnais, and a financial analyst at NationsBank. Hoover has a BA and an MBA from Texas Tech University. He flies a small plane to unwind but he agrees with Fischer about investing: “It’s a great challenge–it’s like a big game of chess, it’s fascinating and there’s something new each year, and each day, and we love to do it.”

Chris Najork, CFA, is a founder, managing director, and portfolio manager at NFJ, managing mutual funds and managed accounts. He has been senior VP at NationsBank, and an analyst and portfolio manager at RepublicBank. He earned his BA and MBA at Southern Methodist University.
