A Northeastern technology firm is revising one of its major products.
NaviSys Inc., Edison, N.J., is putting out NaviSys Enterprise Platform 2006 Release 3, a new version of a system that can help insurers manage all steps of designing, underwriting, and servicing insurance policies.
The system is composed of independent, reusable Java components and the components in the new version are physically divided into 30 stand-alone components, NaviSys says.
The new system also will publish 1,000 application programming interfaces as standardized Web services and support 3 new ACORD standards, NaviSys says.
The system provides support for companies that handle transactions in more than one currency and need the ability to switch between languages and currencies on the fly, NaviSys says.
