A managed care company is providing more extras for older plan members.
Humana Inc., Louisville, Ky., says it is setting up a new Humana Active Outlook program for members of its Medicare managed care and Medicare drug plans.
The program includes nutrition programs; a disease prevention program; programs to help older consumers retain the ability to think clearly; and advocacy programs that can help consumers understand and use their health coverage, Humana says.
Humana notes that it will be working with drug stores and other retailers and manufacturers to provide discounts for Active Outlook program members.
