The National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies says it will release a new version of its imaging implementation guide in July.
NAILBA, Fairfax, Va., released the first imaging implementation guide in February.
Since then many insurers have adopted some or all of the standards, and 7 companies have used the guide to eliminate the need for agencies to send original documents in addition to image transmissions, NAILBA says.
The latest company to “go paperless” is the Rockville, Md.-based U.S. arm of Legal & General Group P.L.C., London, the parent of Banner Life Insurance Company and William Penn Life Insurance Company of New York.
