A group insurer will be following the trend of offering employee assistance plans services to more insureds.
Sun Life Financial U.S., Wellesley, Mass., a unit of Sun Life Financial Inc., Toronto, says its group insurance division now will offer EAP access to all members of group life, long-term disability and short-term disability plans.
Sun Life also will offer EAP access to members of customers with self-insured plans.
Sun Life, which previously offered EAP access only to members of group LTD plans, gets EAP services from ComPsych Corp., Chicago.
