A unit of WellPoint Inc., Indianapolis, is starting to sell dental insurance and term life insurance for individuals in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.

The unit, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, will be calling the products Anthem Individual Dental Blue and Blue Preferred Term Life.

Consumers in those states who own Anthem Blue health insurance can combine payments for the dental insurance and the life insurance with payments for their health insurance, according to Anthem Blue.

Monthly premiums for the dental insurance will be about $21 to $26 for adults and $14 to $18 for children. The policy will pay 100% of the cost of in-network diagnostic care and preventive care, such as oral exams and teeth cleanings, and it will pay a set amount for other in-network services, such as fillings.

The term life product will be available to consumers ages 19 to 64, and purchasers can choose to pay for $15,000, $25,000 or $50,000 in coverage.
