Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has started selling the BeneFits family of small group health insurance products in the Centennial State.

Anthem, a unit of WellPoint Inc., Indianapolis, says the 5 new products will include 4 preferred provider organization plan and 1 health maintenance organization plan.

Employers can contribute as little as 25% of the premium, or $50 per employee, and the minimum employee participation rate is just 60%, according to Anthem.

In most cases, the minimum participation rate is 75%, Anthem says.

In November 2005, Anthem introduced another family of small group health plans, the EmployeeElect family. That family offers a choice of 12 health plans, Anthem says.
