The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has awarded “deemed status” to URAC.
URAC, Washington, runs accreditation programs that evaluate the quality of managed care plans and other health care organizations.
The new CMS deemed status means that URAC accreditation can help companies that want to set up Medicare Advantage managed care plans avoid going through a full CMS audit, URAC says.
