A consumer-driven health care pioneer has rented a provider network for plan members in the northern Illinois area.
Destiny Health, Chicago, has agreed to use the provider network developed by the Employers’ Coalition on Health, Rockford, Ill., according to Destiny, a unit of Discovery Health Ltd., Sandton, South Africa.
Employers’ Coalition, a nonprofit association health plan that serves 120 self-insured employers, has 2,700 doctors and 40 hospitals in its provider network.
Destiny has about 3,000 plan members in the northern Illinois area, according to Destiny.
