A large insurer is trying to increase the value of group term life insurance for employees who want to stay healthy and live long lives.
Aetna Inc., Hartford, says it is enhancing and repackaging the extras that come with the group life products.
The features will include a variety of financial counseling and advice services; legal services, including an office visit with a lawyer for insureds who are terminally ill; discounts on wellness and health care products and services, including health care case management services and health care advocacy services; and emotional support services for insureds who are dying and their loved ones.
Aetna will start introducing the package of features this year and plans to introduce the package on a national basis in 2007.
