OPM Chooses Voluntary Benefits Vendors

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management has announced the players on its new voluntary benefits team.

The new Federal Employee Dental and Vision Insurance Program will start offering employee-paid dental and vision benefits starting Dec. 31.

The dental vendors are Aetna Inc., Hartford; CompBenefits Corp., Roswell, Ga.; Government Employees Hospital Association Inc., Lee’s Summit, Mo.; Group Health Inc., Kingston, N.Y.; MetLife Inc., New York; Triple-S Inc., San Juan, Puerto Rico; and the United Concordia unit of Highmark Inc., Pittsburgh.

The vision benefits vendors are BCBS Vision; the Spectera unit of UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn.; and Vision Service Plan Inc., Sacramento, Calif.
