Insurance Network America Inc. has agreed to market small group health insurance plans underwritten by a unit of Independence Holding Corp.

INA, Boise, Idaho, is a marketing firm that sells health insurance products through a network of 2,000 agents in 40 states.

IHC, Stamford, Conn., is an insurance holding company that says it wants to expand its retail health insurance operation.

Madison National Life Insurance Company, one IHC unit, will write the INA coverage, and Insurers Administrative Corp., another IHC unit, will handle administration.

The plans will include high-deduction health insurance plans as well as traditional plans, according to IHC.

IHC estimates the INA deal will generate more than $12 million in premium revenue per year by 2009.
