A major health care quality group is setting up a client services arm and a marketing and product development arm.
Executives at URAC, Washington, a nonprofit group that now administers 15 accreditation and certification programs, says the group is forming the divisions to develop new products and improve service for health care organizations going through accreditation programs.
Annette Watson will be chief accreditation officer and head of the client services arm. She previously was vice president of business development.
Debra Friedman will be the senior vice president in charge of the strategic marketing and product development arm. Friedman has been executive director of sales, marketing and actuarial services for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Chicago.
