Insurance company units of Sammons Financial Group Inc. have started using a system from XAware Inc. to communicate with annuity broker-dealers.
The Sammons units are using the system, the Service-Oriented Architecture products, to handle post-issue processing of annuity contracts through the Depository Trust and Clearing Corp., New York, according to XAware, Colorado Springs, Colo.
Major Sammons insurance units include Midland National Life Insurance Company and North American Company for Life and Health Insurance.
