Personnel Changes: DTCC, California Blue, CIGNA

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corp. has promoted John Ziambras to managing director and general manager for insurance services.

DTCC, New York, a unit of National Securities Clearing Corp., helps insurers and broker-dealers automate the process of selling annuities and life insurance policies.

Ziambras has been vice president of DTCC’s insurance services unit since 2002. He will continue to run the unit, DTCC says.

Ziambras has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Princeton University. He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter professional designation.

In other personnel news:

- Blue Shield of California, San Francisco, has promoted Bob Wadsworth to vice president of product development.

Wadsworth has been vice president of installation and membership at California Blue since 2003. He has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business from Cornell University. He also has a master’s degree in business from Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven, Belgium.

- CIGNA HealthCare of Texas, a unit of CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, has hired Jason Motter to be vice president of sales for its North Texas and Oklahoma markets.

Motter previously was the regional sales director for North Texas and Oklahoma for the managed care arm of UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn.

Motter has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama.
