PNC Financial Services Group Inc. has acquired Healthcare Administration Technologies Inc.
PNC, Pittsburgh, is a large bank that already runs a large health care transaction processing operation, but it has not owned a clearinghouse.
Healthcare Administration, Tulsa, Okla., is a large health care clearinghouse.
A clearinghouse helps doctors, employers, hospitals, insurers and others exchange health claim and health payment information.
The price of the Healthcare Administration deal and other terms were not immediately available.
