Reliance Standard Life Insurance Company has bought the assets of Integrated DisAbility Resources Inc.

Reliance, a unit of Delphi Financial Group Inc., sells employee benefits insurance products.

Integrated DisAbility, Portland, Maine, manages group disability risk and group disability claims.

The price of the deal was not available, but Delphi says Reliance has put the Integrated DisAbility assets in a new Custom Disability Solutions unit.

CDS is based in Portland, and it will help Reliance sell more “turnkey” group disability reinsurance programs, Delphi says.

CDS will continue to serve existing turnkey disability clients through an alliance that Reliance formed with a group of health insurers in 2004, Delphi says.
