A large mutual insurer has promoted 2 executives.

New York Life Insurance Company, New York, has promoted John O’Gara and Nicholas Pasyanos to vice president in the company’s individual life insurance department.

O’Gara, who now manages the life consultant team, previously was a regional manager for life product sales. He has a bachelor’s degree in business and finance from Iona College.

Pasyanos, now the lead pricing actuary, has been pricing immediate and deferred annuity products. He has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

- AMS Benefits, Bothell, Wash., has hired John Paikowski to be South Central regional sales consultant.

Paikowski previously was a sales manager at Total Plan Services Inc., Dallas. He has a bachelor’s degree in business from Texas Tech University. He holds the Registered Health Underwriter, Registered Employee Benefits Consultant and Chartered Benefit Consultant professional designations.
