Nadine Vogel has left MetLife Inc. to start Springboard Consulting L.L.C., a firm that will help clients reach families of people with disabilities and other niche markets.

Vogel, the mother of 2 daughters with disabilities, formed Special Needs Advocate for Parents, Los Angeles, a nonprofit group, and the MetLife Division of Estate Planning for Special Kids.

Springboard, Mendham, N.J., will have a human resources arm and a cause marketing arm as well as a conventional marketing unit, Vogel says.

The MetDESK unit at MetLife, New York, was one of the first financial services businesses focusing on the needs of the families of people with special needs, Vogel says.

Vogel has a bachelor’s degree in industrial psychology from the College of Charleston and a master’s degree from Golden Gate University. She is a past president of SNAP and a current member of the College of Charleston Foundation Board.
