National Underwriter Company has released a new edition of a book that has been helping insurance producers increase sales for nearly 50 years.

The book, “Building a Financial Services Clientele: 10th Edition,” is the textbook for O. Alfred Granum’s One Card System, a method that producers can use to improve their own performance while making sure that the consumers around them get the financial services products they need.

The new edition, the first released in 7 years, incorporates information about how to use technology and other tools to follow the One Card System more efficiently.

The text provides in-depth explanations of how producers can leverage concepts such as the 10-3-1 Ratio, 6-3 Prospecting and Promotion, and Activity and Efficiency Points to build their clientele.

The new edition also includes more information about integrating the system with the authorized OCS Planner, electronic client management systems and online programs for analyzing efficiency and conversion ratios.

Other changes reflect developments such as the effects of Do Not Call legislation and producers’ increasing interest in selling non-life insurance products.
