Personnel Changes: Mass. Blue, Jacobson, Securian, Baltimore

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts has hired Vinod Sahney to be the company’s chief strategy officer.

Sahney is chief project officer at the Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, and he has been a visiting professor at the Harvard University School of Public Health for 28 years. He also is chairman of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, Cambridge, Mass.

Sahney has a bachelor’s degree from the Birla Institute of Technology, a master’s degree from Purdue University and a doctorate from the University of Wisconsin. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine and the National Academy of Engineering.

- The Jacobson Group, Chicago, has hired Jack Johnsey to be senior vice president for project solutions.

Johnsey will be in charge of putting teams of workers together for companies facing tough situations.
