Members of the Association of Health Insurance Advisors are pitching in to help explain the new prescription benefits program for the elderly.
AHIA, a division of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Falls Church, Va., has enlisted in the MedicareRx Volunteer Initiative, a program organized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Many AHIA members will be reaching out to residents in their communities to answer questions about the new Medicare Part D prescription drug program and steer beneficiaries with problems to other helpful resources, AHIA says.
