Insurance Broker Acquires Benefits Firms

BellGroup L.L.C. has scooped up McCone Insurance Group Inc. and Andy J. Nadel’s benefits practice.

BellGroup, McCone and the Nadel benefits practice are all in Dallas.

BellGroup, a commercial insurance broker, is not saying how much it is paying for McCone and the Nadel benefits practice, but it is putting all benefits operations in one subsidiary, BellBenefits L.L.C.

BellGroup now has about 100 employees and satellite offices in Houston and Fort Worth, Texas, the company says.
