Conseco Returns To 403(b) Market

Washington National Insurance Company has unveiled a family of 4 new tax-sheltered annuities.

Washington National, a unit of Conseco Inc., Carmel, Ind., says the new Educators’ Choice annuities are designed for 403(b) programs, which often serve teachers and other employees of nonprofit organizations.

The products include Educators’ Choice I annuity, an 8-year modified single-premium, deferred annuity offering an initial interest rate of 4%; the Educators’ Choice II annuity, a 6-year flexible-premium, deferred annuity offering an initial interest rate of 4%; the Educators’ Choice Index I annuity, an 8-year modified single-premium, indexed annuity with 8 crediting options; and the Educators’ Choice Index II annuity, a 6-year flexible-premium, indexed annuity with 8 crediting options.

The Washington National worksite integrated services team will provide each agent selling the annuities with a relationship manager, the company says.
