The Jacobson Group is opening an office in Charlotte, N.C.
Although the office is in the home city of Wachovia Corp., Charlotte, and Bank of America Corp., Chicago, 2 giant banks, it will look for candidates for health care organizations and insurers as well as for banks, according to the Jacobson Group, Chicago.
The firm has hired Lisa Leachman Barrett to be the executive search consultant in charge of the office. She previously was chief administrative officer of Suncoast Holdings Inc. and Guarantee Insurance Company of Fort Mill, S.C., and executive vice president of administration for The Tarheel Group Inc., Fort Mill, S.C.
Barrett has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business from the University of South Carolina. She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources professional designation.
