A Midwestern insurer has designed a family of new life insurance products for workers who are thinking ahead.
Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions, a unit of Trustmark Mutual Holding Company, Lake Forest, Ill., says the 3 new worksite universal life products all include living benefits that can help holders pay for LTC costs.
The basic Universal Plan provides guaranteed issue coverage and incorporates the new, more optimistic mortality tables, Trustmark says.
The company also has introduced the Guaranteed UL policy, which combines UL flexibility with the kinds of lifetime guarantees associated with whole life, and the Universal LifeEvents policy, which is designed to pay higher death benefits while the insured is working and to offer higher LTC living benefits when the insured has retired, Trustmark says.
Trustmark, which is issuing the policies through its Trustmark Insurance Company affiliate, is starting an ad campaign that will feature the slogan, "Get More Out Of Life," to support the new policies, the company says.
