A Midwestern insurance group has licensed new customer service software.

Sammons Financial Group Inc., Chicago, plans to use the Customer Service Accelerator system from Computer Sciences Corp., El Segundo, Calif., to give customer service representatives and back-office personnel a consolidated view of each customer’s transaction information and contact history, according to CSC.

The CSC system also will give Sammons managers the ability to track and solve customer service performance problems

Sammons agreed in 2003 to license a package of CSC life and annuity administration systems for 10 years. The company is the first insurer to sign up for the Customer Service Accelerator system, CSC says.
