Petersen International Underwriters has come up with a product that can help brokers shield wealthy clients against heart-stopping terror.

Petersen, Valencia, Calif., has introduced the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Rider for its high-limit accident product line, which includes air travel only, all common carriers, 24-hour coverage, and business travel accidental death and dismemberment plans.

The rider can pay a benefit of up to $1 million, or 10 times annual income, to an insured under age 65 who suffers a fatal heart attack within 72 hours of encountering a harrowing event, Petersen says.
