A New England insurer is doing more to expand access to telephone-based counseling and other advice and counseling services.
Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Simsbury, Conn., says it now is offering a package of Ability Assist services from ComPsych Corp., Chicago, to new group long-term disability insurance customers with up to 5,000 employees and, at renewal time, to existing group LTD customers with up to 5,000 employees.
Covered employees now can use the assistance services, which include access to telephone-based emotional, legal, financial and work-life counselors and up to 5 face-to-face counseling sessions, without filing LTD claims, according to Hartford.
